Rigid<\/em> airships flying during World War II? Seems far-fetched to the layperson, if only because popular media has repeated so much miss-information about airships in general – and hydrogen-borne rigid airships in particular. We are going to take a few dozen internet pages here to try and relax those preconceived notions and deal with popular misconceptions.<\/div>\n

As we\u00a0clarify what TV and other media usually sensationalize, muddle or leave out, the reader\"poster-safe\"\u00a0will learn why Partridge’s ZRS is actually a modestly<\/strong><\/em> alternative history. We will propose how, with your participation, we’ll proceed to bring the rigid airship flying aircraft carrier out of grainy old B&W footage onto the\u00a0 3-D motion picture theater screen.\u00a0 (While TV has milked the cash cow of the LZ-129 “disaster” endlessly, only a small number of films involving LTA have been produced – we complied a list<\/a> <\/span>– but very few with\u00a0good production values about airships in particular.)<\/p>\n
